The pools are nice, enough space and areas to accommodate brisbane casino christmas day lunch, occasionally it can be difficult to find a sun bed around the pool but that is due to the usual people who put their towel out and disappear for the day.
The food is hit and miss in the buffet, some days it is great but then the next day it can be quite bland but as buffet food goes it will keep you fed.
The rooms have been updated since our last visit here and are fresh however slightly on the small side for a family of four, the pillows are a complete mix of comfy and appalling, four of us in the room, two pillows are nice and the other two feel like they are stuffed with bits of towel.
The staff are mostly good, however the bar staff blatantly discriminate against people from the UK, its all inclusive but you just won't get served at the bar until they have no one else to serve or nothing else to see more, people from Spanish or any other speaking countries will literally stroll right up to the bar after you, stand right next to you and get served before you, you can be standing there for 10-15mins at a time, they act like you are not there and don't care, they will serve you when they feel like it, which is last.
Its actually quite disgusting how blatant it can be.
Entertainment - this is our third time here, the entertainment is the same as 10yrs ago, the shows are ok but start at 9:30pm, so if you got young kids it can be pretty late for them.
Wouldn't come back here or recommend due to the bar staff, go somewhere else where everyone gets treated equal.

The rooms and grounds are beautiful and kept extremely clean.
Loads of food options can always find something to eat.
What makes this hotel great though is the staff especially the entertainment staff.

Buffets were often cold and on the first night we were served raw chicken so we tried to go for the a la carte restaurants.
Japanese is a good experience, food is decent.
Mediterranean had potential but was awful, was served burnt lobster medallion and mussels.
Tex mex on a night is great but again service is slow, but during the day some of the food is questionable.
Route 66 was dreadful, however the staff there were really great so it was a shame.
First week the water was so calm and no seaweed.

Ice cream and coffee shop is amazing for a cool down, variety of ice creams which is good.

Located a distance away from the hubbub of central Punta Cana, the massive Sirenis complex, with its flag-lined entrance, was once two properties, and traces of the original division are still eveident throughout the resort: A pretty garden, for example, has two separate walkways leading to two airy lobbies for check-in.
